After the claws came out on last week’s episode, this week on ‘Project Runway’ the competition gets very sexy, as the designers must create a look for the Heidi Klum Intimates collection — sound easy? Guess again — lingerie proved to be the biggest challenge for some of the contestants. Read on for our recap.
After the gals tried to totally sabotage Ashley, it is clear she feels the tension in the house — and she can’t wait to get back into the workroom. When the designers arrive, bras and underwear are everywhere. “You better step up your design game to impress your biggest critic,” Heidi Klum says — and it’s obviously her! This week, the designers must create a lingerie look for the Heidi Klum Intimates collection — and the winning look will be produced and sold. How cool is that?!
When it comes time for Tim to visit the workroom, Heidi joins him — now that’s a first! She isn’t holding back as she offers up feedback, saying things like: “More boobs, less bra.” Could we love Heidi anymore? After all, if anyone knows how to look good when they strip down it’s definitely the supermodel.
Having Heidi in the workroom is so fun — can she make the rounds with Tim every week? Together they’re like a fashion dream team. Before she leaves, she drops a major bomb on the designers — she’s going to meet them on the runway in just 10 minutes — cue the total freakout moments!
Once they got back to the runway, they’re told that there’s bad news and good news. The bad news? They’re designing another piece — a sexy coverup. The good news? Heidi’s giving them more work time — and the designers are sleeping on the runway. A slumber party? Now this is definitely a Runway first. Heidi will see them bright and early on the runway.
While some designers are really impressing us with their looks, some seem to be so confused by the lingerie challenge — especially nervous for dear Blake. This week one of our fave stylish stars, Bella Thorne, is the guest judge — it’s so cool having her on the show! I must say, I’m super impressed with her critique, too — the gal knows her stuff.
Heidi calls Swapnil’s bra a show-stopper — and it’s easy to see why. While not the most commercial, it definitely looked like it came right off a lingerie runway.
In not-so-surprising news, Blake’s bra was a major fail — honestly, I’ve never seen a bra look so bad, and it makes me so sad because I see so much potential in Blakey.
Although Ashley was thrown under the bus last week, this week her design really shines — and I honestly love her look. Along with Ashley, Merline’s sexy style was unique — and she took a risk by designing it freehand, and it totally worked!
Merline is the winner — she gets to do her happy dance. Aw, so happy for her — and I agree with Nina, that bra would look amazing under all the sexy sheer pieces we’re seeing these days. It definitely was between her and Ashley.
As for the bottom, it is between Blake and Jake — and in the end, Blake was sent home. I’m really sadden by the decision — not only did Blake add such fun entertainment to the show, but I really wanted to see what else he could design. Out of all the designers still in the game, I think Blake is stronger than some that are still in the mix — but the boy needs to get a handle on the female form.
