Later on, Miss Mone hit back at her critics, writing: “Note all the SNP muppets. I haven’t turned my back on Scotland purely biz global commitments. I certainly won’t miss u angry, hated, jealous lot.”
The 43-year-old Glaswegian became the first prominent business figure to speak out against independence after Alex Salmond, the former Scottish First Minister, unveiled his preferred referendum question in January 2012.
She said at the time she would “have no choice” but to move her home and business to England if Alex Salmond’s won Scottish independence.
Miss Mone, who is currently on a business trip to South Korea, said she was selling so she could buy her ex-husband Michael out of the home they once shared in Thorntonhall, Lanarkshire.
