If you’ve never been to Sandy’s Lingerie and Gifts in Maryville, you probably have a completely erroneous idea of what the shop is like. Put your misgivings and misconceptions to rest — it’s definitely not what you think.
The shop, started 25 years ago by Sandy Hill with her husband, Charlie, carries a variety of merchandise, attractively arranged such as you’d find in a fine department store’s lingerie department. The adult portion of the business is separate, allowing privacy and discretion for those seeking to purchase marital aids or adult novelties. “From the first day I opened the doors, it’s been about helping people,” Hill said. “I just felt like there was a need for it. I had a wonderful, successful and happy marriage, and I knew there was a lot of people out there that needed help.”
