CHESTER, Pa. – The Lingerie Football League announced Tuesday afternoon that PPL Park will be the new home for the Philadelphia Passion.

LFL officials generally stay away from commenting on NFL affairs, but Monday night’s Seattle Seahawks – Greenbay Packers game pushed them to put out a Facebook statement about replacement officials.

“Because of the LFL’s perception it is that much more critical for us to hire officiating crews that are competent, not only for credibility of our game but to keep our athletes safer. Due to several on-field incompetent officiating we chose to part ways with a couple crews which apparently are now officiating in the NFL. We have a lot of respect for our officials but we felt the officiating was not in line with our expectations.

We have not made public comment to date because we felt it was not our place to do so. However in light of tonight’s event, we felt it was only fair that NFL fans knew the truth as to who are officiating these games.”

We asked the Passion’s head coach and general manager – Chandler Brown – who said a group of LFL leaders had a conference call after the game and decided to put out the statement.

“We take our officiating very seriously, are officials are great,” said Brown, “and as noted, we have officials who we’ve let go in our league who are doing NFL games right now.”

There has been complaints from players, coaches, and fans for weeks as the season continued with the lock out still in place. It all came to a head with a call on Monday Night football which ultimately cost the Packers the game.

Former Eagle and SportsRadio 94 WIP’s Ike Reese had a message for the NFL Commissioner, “You’ve been given the power to control this league,” said Reese, “do the right thing and make sure your product, is putting the best product out there for everyone to see.”

With mounting pressure on all fronts, and the admission that officials not good enough to manage the LFL were now on the NFL’s fields- CBS Sports James Brown summarizes the feelings of many, “I just pray, that the impasse will be overcome, that the officials, the regular officials will be back sooner rather than later,” said Brown, “every game does count.”
