She sparked fears last year when she shocked with her alarmingly thin figure at a Victoria’s Secret event.

Following the controversy, Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel later appeared to put on some weight.

But in the lead up to the lingerie giant’s 2012 Fashion show on Wednesday, the blonde stunner seems to have shed even more off her already tiny frame.

Taking it too far? Candice Swanepoel tweeted a picture of her concave tummy on her Instagram account ahead of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday

The 24-year-old posted a picture of her concave stomach on her Instagram account, which suggests that she has been doing some serious working out and fasting.

She accompanied the snap with the caption: ‘Two days left till the #VSfashionshow rrraaauuwwwr!’

In the picture, Candice’s hip bones are protruding, and she is sporting some serious abdominal muscles.

The blue-eyed model appeared to have come straight from a work-out session, wearing a pair of grey tracksuit bottoms and a blue and white tie-dye sports bra.

She along with all the other Angels including Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and Lily Aldridge, have been working hard to get into tip-top shape for the star-studded show in New York, which will air on December 4.

But Candice’s appearance poses the question of whether she has taken it too far.

Rail thin: Candice drew gasps when she appeared at a Victoria's Secret swimwear launch early last year, looking almost emaciated next to Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio

The supermodel was at The Mondrian hotel in Los Angeles to model the new Victoria’s Secret swimwear line.

Standing alongside models Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima, she stood out from her fellow Angels with her pencil thin legs and concaved stomach.

Looking healthier: But she later appeared to have put on some weight when she appeared on the catwalk later in the year in November

She also appeared noticeably slimmer around the jawline.

While Adriana and Alessandra looked slender in their black swimsuits, Candice looked almost emaciated next to the two girls.

Following the controversial appearance, Candice defended her dramatically slimmed down figure, insisting she was perfectly healthy.

The South African model insisted: ‘I am healthy and happy.’

She told celebrity website People.com: ‘I’m heartened to know how much everyone cares about me, but in this case, everything is normal and good.’

At the time Candice attributed her rail-thin physique to dieting, stress and working out.

In November 2010, she told ABC News and New York Fashion week that her hectic schedule contributed to her super slim look.

‘I’ve been traveling around like crazy,’ she said in the interview at the time. ‘I get skinnier if I’m very busy.’

Skinny with no boobs, the perfect modern figure as it atracts all the peadophiles. Oh, you didn’t know that’s the reason the ‘starving waif is the model of ‘modern beauty’?

That is the result of starving yourself and exercising obsessively. And people wonder why there is an eating disorder epidemic when supermodels are tweeting pictures like that. They surely realise young girls will see this.

How about we all celebrate being fat and obese? and just complain about how fat we all are and how much weight we want to loose without ever getting off the sofa. These girls work so hard to look how they do and they get criticised. The VS models look amazing much better than say Kim Kardashian.
