Sunday Style, an Australian magazine published by News Corporation, has been forced to issue an apology on Instagram after using a woman in black lingerie to advertise an internship.
The ad, which was posted on the Sunday Style account (currently down) on Friday, showed a woman wearing risqué underwear posing on her hands and knees on a bed. Across the image were the words: “Interns wanted.”

Sunday Style said in the caption that the magazine was on the hunt for fashion internship applications, asking readers to tag their friends or forward their resumes to an email address. Instead, commenters expressed their disgust with the ad.
It has since been deleted from Instagram by the magazine arm of News Corporation, NewsLifeMedia, and replaced with an apology: “We made an error in judgement today with an image used in a recent Instagram post calling for interns that has since been taken down. We take our intern program seriously and apologise for any offence caused,” it read.

Rupert Murdoch, who owns News Corporation, is not having a good week. So far, a segment on his Fox News channel has said Birmingham, England is controlled by Muslims and the man himself took to Twitter after the Paris terror attacks to insult Muslims personally.
NewsLifeMedia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
