How to wear newest pants
Lucky magazine gives pants advice on how to wear bells, wide-legs, kick flares and skinny slouchies.
Skinny-slouchy jeans and strappy heels: Flirty shoes and distressed jeans make an excellent high-low pair. An ankle-strap version supplies all the sex appeal. Call it the new boyfriend — slouchy at the hips, slim in the calves and cropped.
Bell-bottoms and pointy pumps: The trick to lean looking thighs is a trim fit at the knee. A narrow shoe keeps the long line going. The hem should just graze the floor.
Silky wide-legs and bright platforms: The taller you are, the wider you can go. (Petites: Look for versions slightly narrower in the leg). Only a sliver of shoe is visible, so make it count with fun color. A 3-inch heel (or higher) will keep the pants hem from dragging.
Kick flares and flat loafers: Slim, cropped, flared at the ankle — and extra chic in a quirky print. Pick a preppy loafer in a fun color — it makes them less serious. No socks! A flash of skin adds flirtiness to a tomboy look.
