The NFL – and the Dallas Cowboys – keep finding new sources of revenue.
The Associated Press reported that the Cowboys are teaming up with Victoria’s Secret, with the lingerie company opening a store at Cowboys Stadium selling lingerie and other clothing promoting the NFL’s most valuable team. The store was slated to open for the Cowboys’ Monday night game against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 1.
Forbes reported this year that the Cowboys are now worth $2.1 billion after owner Jerry Jones bought the team in 1989 for $140 million. Forbes added that last season the Cowboys generated $500 million in total revenue, a record for an American sports team, and posted operating income of $227 million.
No word yet on whether the Cowboys cheerleaders will be modelling the new Victoria’s Secret line of lingerie, etc.
